WAMES accomplished a great deal for you recently including:
- Helping to delay the implementation of competitive bidding
- Working with AAHomecare in the efforts regarding the manufacturer device exise tax
- Opened the door of communication with the State of Wisconsin regarding the incontinence contract and had our many questions addressed. We are now working on legislation to be a part of the bid process in the future.
- Offering the RESNA CEU’s and AARC CRCE’s at the WAMES Annual Convention and Seminars. Provided excellent information via our billing seminar, the respiratory seminar and the meeting with EDS and the Family Care Program.
- Alerted members regarding the tax changes and opposed the excise tax with legislators
- Working on State Licensure with the WI Pharmacy Association
- Meeting and talking with legislators to educate them on the issues involving our industry and the adverse affect it will have on the sick and elderly
- Successful participation in the Washington Legislative Fly-In
- Organizing and assisting membership to meet with legislators to educate them on the issues involving our industry and the adverse affect it will have on the sick and elderly
Our educational seminars continue to provide excellent information. We will also have more education on Medicaid & Medicare billing, legislation impact, respiratory and rehab issues. We will continue our "Networking Strategy Sessions” which are FREE to members. We also have an interactive web site at www.wames.org with a special members only section.

Please complete the attached survey and return to the WAMES Executive Director no later than February 26, 2010. Please respond in the requested increments (i.e. per hour, week, etc). The report will be available April 1st for you to start using to benchmark your organization and its business processes. You can’t afford NOT to have the results!
